What started as a tandem skydive for Uptown Charlotte magazine has led to a quasi-obsession for Christopher Frederick aka Brotha' Fred of 96.1 The Beat's, AM Mayhem and Fox News Edge. After landing from his first tandem skydive, Brotha' Fred immediately enrolled in the AFF program at Skydive Carolina. Since then, Brotha' Fred has tried to get as many people jumping as possible. He had little success with his co-anchor Morgan Fogarty from Fox....no luck there....'contractual obligations.' He tried with David L from the AM Mayhem that even led to a rap song (alas, David L's wife would have none of it). Despite little support, Brotha' Fred has continued on and recently graduated from the program making his very first solo skydive. The jumpsuit has been ordered and gear is to follow! To say that Bro Fro has been 'bit' is an understatement. Leonardo Da Vinci said it best, "When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been and there you will always long to return."
