An Amazing Week of Skydiving!

Photos from the Awards Ceremony
Final Scores

The US Nationals end today and with it a great week of skydiving for all involved. Skydive Arizona did a marvelous job of running a very smooth and well organized event. It was a special week for Carolina Black Ice. Many on this team have participated at the Nationals for many years, but came up short for gold on more than one occasion. This fact made this gold medal performance that much more special, especially in light of last year's near miss where the team took silver. Competitive rookies (and youngest on the team) Jurga Berry and Jorge Alonso won gold on their very first attempt at the Nationals. Undoubtedly, the taste of victory will only leave them wanting more.

To summarize this event, Carolina Black Ice went to the US Nationals focused on the gold. They were well prepared and when the opportunity came, they capitalized. A lot of time, money and effort went into this victory - a very well deserved one. Before we look forward to what's next for this team, we'll enjoy the victory and reflect back on an amazing week of skydiving.

Congratulations, Jorge Alonso, Jurga Berry, Mike Butcher, Joey Freeman, Brenda Kramer, Jan Lane, Pete Langehans, Kyle Rice, Tim Tennant and Bruce Travis
